WEEK 13
With just five games to go, all sections are still up for grabs, and in the Premier section only three points separate the top three. Gladiators lead the way by one point after their 2-1 win at North Leigh FC. The leaders won the opening leg 27-21 and in the second leg decided to set and it looked a regretful decision after only 8 was put on the board by the first three players, however 20 from the next five players gave them a decent score of 28. In reply North Leigh gave it a good go but fell just one short with 27. The final leg Gladiators decided to set again however this time a disastrous set of only 19 was never going to be enough as the football club swept pass that with 27 to give them a deserved point.
Second place White House dropped a point at home to The New Club. A set of 30 was good enough for the White House in the opening leg as New club responded with 27. New Club drew level in the second leg setting and winning it 30-25. The Swans title ambitions took a slight knock when they lost to Section 1 leaders Littlemore British Legion 2-1. The Legion set and won the first leg 31-16. The Catherine Wheels title aspirations took a hit when they lost at home to Yarnton British Legion 2-1. Garsington Sports Club misery continues after they lost for the sixth consecutive time, this time away at The Black Horse ‘A’.
