Captain Martin Cook was in superb form as he clanged off 15 dolls 5-6-4 for The Gladiators in their 2-1 home win against North Leigh FC. The opening leg Gladiators set with a imposing 27 , however in reply North Leigh left anchor man Spencer Buckingham needing three to win, which he duly succeeded with his final stick to give north Leigh an early lead. Gladiators hit straight back in the next two legs setting and winning them both with ease 30-15, 25-15. Kevin Giles with 13 dolls (6-3-4) chipped in for The Glad’s.
James Morrison’s exceptional form continues as he whipped of 14 dolls (3-6-5) for The New Club in their 2-1 win over reigning champions The White House, who won the first leg with ease 26-21. Chasing a set of 26 in the second leg New Club’s anchor man Mark Washington needed only three to win and surpassed that with a 5 to win the leg with 29.Final and deciding leg New Club set a beatable 24, however some erratic throwing from The White House left them short with 21 to give New Club victory and move into second spot. Darren Grant and Rob Bradford with a dozen dolls each was the only bright spots for The White House.
Littlemore British Legion lead Section 1 after they defeated The Swan 2-1 on their own patch. It started of well for The Swan winning the opening leg 23-20, however The Legion stormed back in the next two legs 27-20, 31-16. Tom Finney for The Legion bagged his first ever six in his dozen dolls (3-3-6).
Catherine Wheel ‘A’ raced into a 2-0 lead at Yarnton British Legion 23-19, 18-17 and completed the whitewash in the final leg on a one stick shoot out sticks after it was tied 14-14 and 11-11.

In Section 2 Bletchingdon Sports & Catherine Wheel ‘C’ both hit the same number of dolls however it was Catherine Wheel who came away victorious in an extremely close and well contested game. The first leg was tied 16-16 with The Wheel winning it on three sticks, they then went two up in the next leg by the smallest of margins 13-12. Bletchingdon won the final leg for a deserved point, setting and winning it 17-16. Steve Took with a dozen dolls (3-4-5) was top dog for The Wheel.
The first two legs between hosts Black Horse ‘B’ and The Masons ‘A’ were very tight, with The Masons winning the opener 17-16. Black Horse levelled in the next leg on three sticks after it was tied 17-17. Masons secured victory in the final leg 23-16. Neil Gaul was in top form for The Masons with 12 dolls (3-5-4).
Seacourt Bridge had to come from behind to beat The Blackbird on their own turf, who won the first leg 19-16. Seacourt won the second leg 17-14 and completed the turnaround in the final leg 15-13. Steve Buckle threw well for The Blackbird with 11 dolls (4-4-3).
Duke of Monmouth scored more dolls than visitors Queens Head but still lost 2-1. Queens set and won the first leg 16-14, and in the second leg the Duke set and won with an impressive 27 to the Queens 12 in reply. Final and deciding leg Duke dropped a massive 12 dolls and could only set with 15, queens passing that with ease hitting 21 to give them the leg and game.

Section 3 leaders Cricketers Arms crashed at home to their first league defeat of the season against Six Bells C 3-0. A disastrous set of only 5 in the opening leg started their downfall, Six Bells passing that with ease hitting 17 in reply. The second leg was a lot closer Bells winning it 17-16 and then completed the whitewash in the final leg 16-13. Nick Edmonds for The Bells bagged himself a six in his 12-doll haul (3-6-3).
Rose Hill SC move into second spot after a 3-0 home win against Headington Con club, 19-13, 21-16, 12-10.
Visitors The Tandem won the opening leg at The Masons Arms ‘B’ 17-9 but lost the next by the smallest of margins 15-14. Tandem set and won the deciding leg 18-15. Chris Jilbert for The Masons was the only player to hit double figures with 11 dolls (3-4-4).
Six Bells ‘B’ are still seeking their first win after they lost at home to New Club ‘B’ 2-1. With the game nicely poised at 1-1 chasing a set of 13 Six Bells fell just short with 11 in reply to condemn them to their fifth straight defeat.

Red Lion Yarnton inflicted Section 4 leaders The George their first defeat of the season by beating them at home 2-1. The damage was executed in the first two legs, winning them both 18-15, 20-16, before The George grabbed a point in the final leg 16-13.
Consistent throwing by Donnington club saw them take all three points at The White Hart, winning all three legs 14-10, 18-7, 17-9.
Ampleforth Arms ‘B’ tasted victory for the first time this season when they came from behind to beat Red Lion Cassington 2-1. Losing the first leg 14-10, The Amp regrouped and won the next two legs 14-9, 12-10.
