Kevin Stuart was in scintillating form as he clanged off fifteen dolls (6-5-4) for The George ‘A’ but it was all in vain as visitors Garsington Sports ‘A’ won 2-1 in a high scoring game. Glad’s could only muster up a set of 22 in the next leg which The Swan passed with ease hitting 27 in reply to level the match. The toss was important in the final leg and Glad’s won it and decided to set and hit a formidable score of 30. Swan could only reply with 24 to give The Glad’s a crucial victory.
There was an exciting finish in the clash between The Black Prince & Red Lion ‘A’ Yarnton. With the game nicely poised at a leg each The Black Prince set 23 in the final leg. Red Lion stuttered in their reply and left anchor man Eddie Lacey needing all six to win the leg, and he did not disappoint knocking all six off to claim a close win.
