Premier leaders The Gladiators A fought out an epic battle with New Club A with the first two legs going to one and three sticks. New Club set the opening leg with 26 and in reply The Glad’s anchor man Keith Weller whipped off the four dolls needed to tie the leg. Glad’s set in the three sticks with a whopping sixteen, however New Club matched that to send it to a one stick shoot out. New Club set this time with two, and in reply Gladiators had to rely on their seventh man to hit the winning doll. The second leg The Gladiators set 28 and in reply it was the New Clubs anchor man Pete Shepherd who this time clanged off the four dolls needed to tie the leg. In the three sticks Glad’s set with thirteen which New Club passed with a player to spare. Final and deciding leg went to The Gladiators 27-21. Roger Goodall top scored for The New Club with thirteen (4-5-4).
The Six Bells A Quarry finally recorded their first win of the season away at The George A but they had to do it the hard way after losing the opening leg 26-17. Next leg they were set 23 and with lead off man Jim Clemson hitting a perfect six they sailed past with a reply of 27 to level the match. Bells secured victory in the last leg 25-19. Kevin Stuart hit fourteen dolls (5-5-4) for The George.
Black Prince beat Garsington Sports A with some high scoring individual scores and three maximum sixes hit.. Darren Grant (4-4-5) and Rob Bradford (3-6-4) both hit thirteen dolls for The Prince while Clive Proudfoot (5-3-5) and Ken Maunder (4-6-3) done the same for Garsington in the leg scores of 31-25, 30-23, 21-23.
Jon Townsend bagged himself a six in his fifteen doll haul (4-6-5) for The Swan A in their 2-1 home win over Yarnton British Legion. Swan won the opening leg 26-23 with The Legion storming back in the next leg 29-26. Swan set and won the final leg 26-22.
Willy Waite was in top form for The Bullnose A with fourteen dolls (6-3-5) as they beat a resilient Woodman side 22-20, 23-18, 29-25. Ray Grant was top dog for The Woodman with thirteen dolls (4-5-4).

In Section 2 only one doll separated The Six Bells A Kidlington and The Crown Chalgrove (62-61). The Bells raced into an early lead winning the first two legs 22-20, 22-20 with The Crown winning the last leg 21-18 for a well deserved point. Tony Nicholls hit a baker’s dozen for The Bells (5-5-4)

Chequers A remain unbeaten in Section 3 after beating Vikings Sports A away 19-18, 21-19, 19-14.
Darren Cox was in top form for Florence Park A as he bagged himself a six in his fifteen doll haul. (6-4-5) in their 2-1 home win over Vikings Sports B. The game was over after the first two legs, Florence Park winning them 19-16, 26-13, Vikings grabbing a point in the final leg 20-16.
Rory Mangan hit his first ever six in his twelve doll haul (6-3-3) but it could no prevent Chequers C going down to visitors Masons Arms A who recorded their first win of the season. It started off well for The Chequers winning the first leg 24-22 but Masons made sure of victory in the next two legs 24-21, 20-17.

Donnington Club A move clear at the top of Section 4 after a 3-0 win at home to Berkshire House. The club men narrowly won the opening leg 19-18 then comfortably won the next two 22-17, 21-18. Brian Simpson the only one hitting double figures for Donnington with eleven dolls (4-3-4).

Despite Mick Gillen failing to trouble the doll all night and scoring less dolls then their hosts Red Lion B Marston, Black Swan still scrapped a win to stay top of Section 5. The opening leg Red Lion set and won 13-8. They then set again in the second leg with twelve, and after a slow reply anchor man Tony O’Brien whipped off the two dolls needed to win the leg by the odd doll. Black Swan then set the deciding leg with twelve. In reply Red Lion had a disastrous start with their first three players all recording a blob. They rallied at the end but fell two dolls short with ten and still looking for their first win of the season.

Steve Bennett threw a steady 4-4-4 for Section 7 leaders Northway Club A in their 2-1 home win against Florence Park B. The leaders wrapped up the game in the first two legs 17-13, 17-12. Florence Park came back well to win the last leg 18-16.
Second place Bullnose Morris lost ground after they lost away at Green Road Club A 2-1. It started off well for The Bullnose winning the first leg 10-9 but Green Road rallied and upped their game winning the next two legs 18-15, 18-14.

In Section 8 Wayne Townsend threw well for his eleven dolls (4-3-4) for The Red Lion A Cassington in their 2-1 win at White Hart Wytham who are still seeking their first win of the season in the leg scores of 10-7, 12-9, 14-9.

Anchor man Stewart Holmes recorded three blobs on the nights but Black Horse still managed to grab maximum points at home to The Cricketers Littleworth. They won the first two legs 16-12, 18-11 but had to rely on a three stick shoot out in the final leg after it was tied 9-9.
Northway Club C still top the table after a 3-0 win at home to Golden Ball B. Jay Akhtar top scored with nine dolls (3-3-3) as they won all three legs 14-10, 15-12, 14-11.

In Section 9 Bletchingdon Sports are enjoying their first season in the Oxford league winning away at White Hart B 3-0. They comfortably won all three legs 14-10, 13-4, 14-10.
