Black Prince held off a determined Bullnose Morris A to record a 2-1 victory. They set and won the opening leg 26-22 and then were set 27 in the next leg by The Bullnose. Some steady consistent throwing saw The Prince pass that with an impressive 33. They failed to take maximum points in the final leg when they could only muster up a set of 23 which the Bullnose replied with 27 to give them a well deserved point.
The Black Prince Darren Grant was in top form with thirteen dolls (4-5-4).
Gladiators A had to come from behind to beat The Woodman after losing the first leg 25-22. The Glad’s won the next leg 25-23 and chasing a set of 25 in the final leg they passed it with ease hitting 30 dolls. Matthew Arnold threw well for his bakers dozen (4-4-5) for The Crown.

In Section 3 Lead off man from Florence Park Club A Darren Cox was in tremendous form as he clanged off fourteen dolls (5-4-5) to ease them to a comfortable 3-0 win at The George B in the leg scores of 22-14, 22-16, 22-18.
It was not unlucky thirteen for The Chequers A Jimmy Light who whipped off thirteen dolls 4-5-4 to guide them to a maximum win at The Six Bells B Kidlington, 20-12, 19-9, 22-14.

Donnington Clubs ‘A’ Jamie Smith had mixed fortunes as his team beat Green Road Club B 3-0 in Section 4. He hit a three with his first throw and then doubled it in the next with a maximum six but then blobbed out in the final leg. In Section 6 The Pheasant Inn Paul Morris bagged himself a six as they came from behind to defeat Prince Of Wales 2-1 in a close contest. In Section 7 Northway B scored more dolls then their hosts Bullnose Morris B 47-43 but still ended up losing 2-1. First blood went to The Bullnose 14-13 however Northway stomped back in the next leg to win it 19-14. They then set fifteen in the final and deciding leg and in reply Bullnose left anchor man Dale Macer five to win. He almost succeeded but fell one short with four to send it to a three stick shoot out, which Bullnose won with Macer hitting the winning doll. Nathan Goodwin threw well for Northway with ten dolls (4-4-2).
Green Road Club A had a disastrous start in their game against The Original Swan A when they could only muster up a score of three in the opening leg, Swan winning it with a reply of fifteen. The Club men recovered well to win the next two legs 15-11, 17-16.
Andy Perrin with ten dolls (2-5-3) top dolled for The Red Lion B Cassington as they won all three legs at home to Marston British Legion 13-11, 20-10, 13-10.

Donnington drew level in the next leg by the smallest of margins 13-12. They then set twelve in the final leg, but it was not enough as Northway sailed past with a reply of 18.

In Section 8 Darren Beavan hit double figures (2-5-3) for Northway Club C but it couldn’t stop Red Lion A Cassington from coming away with a 2-1 win.
