Kevin Giles from The George almost hit the magical eighteen dolls as he clanged off seventeen, missing with his first stick of his second throw, as they came from behind to clip The Three Pigeons wings 2-1 in the Premier Section. The George lost the opening leg 34-31 but won the next two legs 33-27, 31-28. Neil Lyon was top dog for The Three Pigeons with sixteen dolls (6-5-5).
Philip Adams for The Cricketers was another double sixer in his sixteen doll haul (6-4-6) as they beat The Six Bells C 3-0. Cricketers set and won the first leg 33-26 but had to rely on three sticks in the next leg after it was tied 31-31. They then took maximum points in the final leg 30-25. Team mate Kevin Baker chipped in with fourteen dolls (4-5-5) while Andy Beal & Dick Walsh both hit thirteen dolls (5-5-3) for The Six Bells.
Fred Cook was in terrific form for The Rowing Machine with fifteen dolls (5-6-4) but they still lost 3-0 at Garsington Sports Club, 24-22, 26-23, 24-22.
Mick Berry clanged off a six for The White Hart but it was all in vain as they lost away at The New Club 2-1. Austin Atkinson also hit a six, for The New Club as they ran out winners 24-21, 28-27, 27-29.

Jim Clemson (3-6-4) and Tony Barrett (4-5-4) both hit a bakers dozen for The Six Bells Quarry in Section 2 has they had a comfortable 3-0 win at The Punch Bowl. They won the first two legs 20-15, 20-17 and then finished of on a high in the final leg 25-14.
Chris Jenkins clanged off a six in his fourteen dolls (3-6-5) for The Gladiators A in their 3-0 win at home to The Queens Head. They were never in any trouble as they easily won all three legs 25-14, 24-20, 21-11.

In Section 3 The Three Horseshoes Phil Jackson was in top form as he clanged off fourteen dolls (5-6-3) to lead his team to a 3-0 win at The Chequers C. Leg scores being 23-20, 23-18, 21-19.

Jeff Glenister was in electrifying form for The Griffin as he bagged himself a six in his fifteen doll haul (6-4-5) as they claimed maximum points at The Cricketers Littleworth in Section 4. They won the first two legs 22-13, 19-16 but had to rely on a three stick shootout in the final leg after it was tied 16-16.
Only one doll separated The Masons Arms A & Garsington Sports Club B in their clash. The Masons set the opening leg with eighteen but the Sports men passed it by the odd doll. The next leg was tied 20-20 with the Sports men winning it on three sticks. Masons grabbed a point in the final leg 19-17. David Naylor for the Masons top scored with eleven.

In Section 5 The Nelson B must have thought they were playing in the Premier Section as they amassed an incredible 29 dolls in the final leg at home to The Folly Bridge. With the game nicely poised at one leg each The Nelson set their record score in the final and deciding leg which completely blew away their opponents who replied with 12.

The Catherine Wheel A threw well in Section 6 as they won all three legs against Vikings Sports C. They won the first two legs 20-12, 20-16 then set 16 in the final leg. Vikings reply was slow and left anchor man Ian Gardiner six to win the leg. Gardiner was unlucky as he clanged off five dolls to tie the leg, but The Catherine Wheel went on to win it on three sticks.

The Original Swan B in Section 10 remain the only team without losing a leg as they gained another 3-0 win this time away at The Red Lion B Kidlington. Patrick Williams was the difference as he whipped of a dozen dolls (4-4-4) in the leg scores of 15-7, 14-8, 13-6.
