Keith Quinell clanged off fifteen dolls, including a maximum six (5-4-6) for Kidlington Sports Club B but it was still not enough as they went down 2-1 to leaders The Gladiators A in Section 2. Gladiators won the opening leg 26-17 but lost the next 17-19. They then set 21 in the final leg and it proved to be just enough as Kidlington fell just one doll short with 20 and maintained their unbeaten run in the section.
Ray Townsend was in top form as he hit fourteen dolls (4-5-5) to steer The Squire Bassett to a close 2-1 win at The Woodman Inn. Squire won the first leg by the odd doll 19-18 but Woodman came back well to claim the second leg also by the odd doll 17-16. Squire then set and won the final and deciding leg 20-18.

It was not unlucky thirteen for Colin Richardson as he hit a bakers dozen (5-5-3) for the The Chequers C as they beat The Royal Sun 2-1 in Section 3. Chequers won the first two legs 24-18, 24-19 with The Royal Sun grabbing a point in the last leg 22-19.
Phil Jackson from The Three Horseshoes bagged himself a six in his thirteen doll haul (5-6-2) as they beat North Oxford Con Club 2-1. They had the game won after the first two legs taking them 22-18, 27-15 before Con Club took a point in the last leg 16-14.
There was very little to choose between Vikings A and The Ampleforth Arms, in fact only one doll separated them. Vikings won the first leg 17-14 and then was set 21 by Ampleforth in the next leg. After a steady reply Vikings fell just one doll short with 20. Ampleforth then set again in the deciding leg this time with 19, and once again Vikings came up one doll short with 18 to give Ampleforth a 2-1 result.

In Section 6 the first two legs between The Black Bull and Donnington Club were tied 12-12, 14-14 and had to be settled on three sticks which each side took a leg each. The final and deciding leg went to the Black Bull 16-11.
Hosts Littlemore Rugby Club scored one more doll than their visitors The Nelson A but still lost out 2-1. Nelson set the opening leg with 14 but Rugby Clubs anchor man Brian Mossop whipped off the three dolls needed to tie the leg and take it to three sticks which The Nelson won. Nelson then won the next leg 15-13 but The Rugby men grabbed a point in the last leg 17-14.
Sam Hutton threw well for his dozen dolls (3-4-5) and help the Catherine Wheel beat The Golden Ball after losing the first leg 17-10. They then recovered well to win the next two legs 15-11, 14-13 for a deserved victory.
The Nut Tree won the opening leg at The Gladiators B 18-13 but it went all down hill from there. Glad’s levelled the match in the second leg 17-13. Nut Tree then set in the final leg but could only muster seven dolls which The Gladiators easily passed with 17.

In Section 9 Florence Park Club just got the better over The Crown in a close fought match. The opening leg was tied 9-9 with the Club men winning it on three sticks. They then won the next leg 12-8. Crown won the final leg 9-7, with Bob Kirby top scoring with ten dolls (3-4-3)

The game nearly had to be abandoned between The Prince Of Wales and Original Swan A after the Swans Charlie Proudfoots wayward stick smashed the overhead light in Section 10. After a few quick running repairs the game was able to finish in The Prince Of Wales favour 2-1. Leg scores being 12-10, 7-12, 8-7.

The Original Swan C finally got a win under their belts after beating The Holybush 2-1. Andy Durham top scored with nine dolls (4-2-3) as they ran out winners 13-10, 5-11, 9-8.
Colin Bracey also hit ten dolls (5-2-3) as Kennington Social Club B came away from The George & Dragon with a 2-1 victory. Kennington got off to a great start wining the leg 16-5, but the next leg they just scrapped though 8-7. George & Dragon grabbed their first point of the season in the final leg 8-7.

In The Premier Section Steve Walton hit a six in his haul of fourteen dolls (4-4-6) but could not prevent The Rowing Machine winning 2-1. The George won the first leg 28-25 with The Rowing Machine winning the next leg 29-23. George set the final leg with 32 and it seemed to be enough as in reply Rowing machine left anchor man Eddie Lacey needing five to win. Lacey did not disappoint hitting the winning doll with his final stick to win the leg by the odd doll.
