Kevin Baker clanged off 15 dolls (6-5-4) to lead The Cricketers to comfortable 3-0 win at home to Kidlington Sports Club and remain as the only unbeaten team in the league. Den Sellar chipped in with 14 dolls (5-5-4) as they won all three legs 31-23, 33-18, 28-22.Dennis Richens and Dave Wlliams top scored with 11 dolls for The Sports Men.
Top doll scorer Kevin Giles bagged himself 14 dolls (4-5-5) as The George beat Vikings Club ‘b’ 3-0. They just won the opening leg 25-23 but won the next two with ease 28-25, 26-17. Team mate Willy Waite hit a bakers dozen 4-3-6.
Section One side New Club defeated Premier challengers The Three Pigeons 2-1.New Club lost the opening leg 28-23 but came back well to take the next two legs 25-21, 27-22. Neil Lyon (14) 4-4-6 and Mick Gosford (13) 6-4-3 threw well for the Three Pigeons.

The bottom two clashed in Section Three and Quarry Gates 3-0 win at home to Donnington Club moved them off the bottom. Quarry won the opening leg 19-15 and then was set 20 in the next leg. After a good start in their reply Quarry Gate faltered towards the end and left anchor man Phil Hounslow five to win. Hounslow missed with his first stick then clanged off the next five to give them victory by one doll. They then claimed maximum points winning the final leg 20-10. Young Stuart Webb hit double figures for the first time 5-3-3 and Stuart Bennet hit a dozen dolls 5-4-3.

In Section Four there was mixed fortunes for The Masons David Naylor as he hit a maximum six in the opening leg but then failed to trouble the doll in the next leg. He finished off with a four in the final leg but they still lost 3-0 away at The Vikings Club ‘A’. Darren Trinder whipped of 11 dolls for Vikings as they won all three legs 20-13, 17-9, 16-11.

Chris Jenkins was in sparkling form with 14 dolls 4-4-6 but Democrats drop down into second place in Section 5 after crashing to a 2-1 defeat at home to Golden Ball. First leg went to The Golden Ball 17-14 with The Democrats levelling in the second leg 18-16. The final and deciding leg went to The Golden Ball by the odd doll 20-19.
Chandos Arms boosted their title ambitions with a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Kidlington Sports ‘A’. Alan Bolster was in top form clanging off 13 dolls 5-3-5 as they won all three legs 20-10, 16-12, 20-11.

In Section 6 Kevin Neal threw a steady 4-4-4 as Team Monarch beat Marston British Legion 2-1 in Section 6. Monarch had the game wrapped up in the first two legs 18-16, 22-13, Legion claimed a consolation point in the last leg 21-18.

Section 8 leaders Red Lion Islip crashed to a 3-0 defeat to Jolly Sportsman. Red Lion never really got going as they lost all three legs 17-15, 15-11, 14-9. Andy Creasey was top dog for The Sportsman with 10 dolls.
Gladiators ‘B’ took advantage and moved to top spot as they beat The Chequers 2-1 but had to do it the hard way after losing the opening leg 16-13. In the second leg they were chasing a set of 20 and it was down to anchor man John Flynn to whip of the two dolls needed to take the leg by the odd doll. Gladiators wrapped up the game in the final leg 16-14.
Shaun Bricknell hit a bakers dozen 4-5-4 as Red Lion Wolvercote out roared The Red Lion Cassington 3-0. Lion Wolvercote won a close opening leg 16-15 but then easily won the next two legs 14-8, 20-9.
In Section 12 The Priory won their first game of the season defeating The White Hart 2-1. They started of well winning the first leg 10-6 but lost the next leg 8-5. The final and deciding leg Priory set 13 which was enough to win them the leg and claim their first victory of the season.
After hitting a 1 & a blob Rich Turner from The White Hart redeemed himself in the final leg by clanging off four dolls needed to win the final leg against The Kings Arms ‘B’. Having already lost the first two legs 8-5, 14-6 White House were set 10 in the final leg. Turner’s four dolls gained The White House a point in the final leg.
